100th Post Celebration
My 100th Post!
Wow! This day came up unexpectedly. I was planning on having a prize ready for someone who dropped by and commented on my 100th post. Okay, I can do this. I wasn't totally prepared, but I can be flexible and think on the fly.
If you leave a comment today, I'll draw a random number and give the commenter with that number a $25.00 Gift Certificate from Barnes and Noble.
For my loyal followers, all 62 of you who have clicked the "Follow" button on my right margin, I'm going to use the same random.org device and reward one of you with a book bag full of supplies. (Much to Faith's dismay, I will exclude family members. She so wants the three hole punch and purple pens.)
Finally, I'm feeling a lot like Adrian Monk, I need to see the nice round number of 100 Followers in my right margin. 100 Posts, 100 Followers...should I also go for 100 comments in a single day? (Naw, I'm not feeling that much like Adrian Monk.)
"Joy in the challenges of Asperger's" is my new "tag line" on my new blog design. As my regular blogging friends know, I'm changing my design, my web address and my hosting service. I just took a peak (okay more than a few peaks) at what Thais at the[design house] is doing. I told you if she could keep the cartoon of Jonathan and give me a new pickle she'd be my BFF. Well, everyone I have a new BFF!!! I love the fact that she even incorporated paper airplanes into the new header. She is so totally Awesome!
Anyway, if you are not following the adventures of Jonathan, Purple Man and the Talking Pickle, jump right on over and simply click "Follow." If you are follower 63 through 100, you'll also have a chance to win a second book bag stuffed with office supplies.
What do you think about a case of gourmet pickles to someone when I celebrate my move to our new home? Or (if I can get Jonathan to cooperate) your own original Purple Man comic page? I'd like to hear from you about possible ideas for future prizes, things which keep in the "theme" of our blog.
Before I realized today would be my 100th post, I wrote a follow up to Friday's post about the proposed change in the DSM-V manual for Asperger's Syndrome. I had to stop the seriousness and celebrate. Please come back tomorrow when I return to being serious...at least for one more day.
P.S. I should be a guest blogger over at A Hen's Nest today. I know it is hard to believe that I do have other passions besides blogging about Jonathan. I love teenagers...it's scary, but true. Read about what fun I have with a house full of teens. I hope Henrietta picked some fun pictures of the teens. My favorite is Jorge's 17th birthday, and my second is the unexpected teenager snowball fight in my yard.

Happy 100th post! Woo-hoo! By the way, I'm already a follower.
Happy 100th post! I totally missed my 100th post. I didn't even realize I could look somewhere and tell how many posts I had until someone else posted about their 100th and I asked them if they routinely counted them to know that they were getting close! I felt pretty silly after I found out it's on my dashboard!

"Feeling like Adrian Monk..." Ha! Gawd I miss that show. That show made me use the word "askew" wwaayyy too much! :)
I have a close family friend with a 17 year old son with Asperger's. I wanted to encourage you that although it has been challenging for them he is a great guy & has overcome a lot to become a great friend to my family & my own 3 teens. Cheers from SITS!
