Welcome, Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by to see what Jonathan is doing today. Just grab something to drink off the counter, pull a chair up to the kitchen table and let me tell you all about it. Wednesday - Week Three

Now is Faith's turn to be sick. I realized yesterday this is the third child and third week someone has been home sick. I don't know if you can see how red her cheeks are. For both Jonathan and Faith, this is a sign of fever and/or illness.

Be still my heart. A homemade zip line over a  small ravine in our yard. It's about an 8-10 foot drop, just enough to break a leg. I didn't let him try with the wire hangers. I only know about this new creation because he came in looking to replace the plastic hangers which broke. I made him show me what he was doing before I banned him from doing it.

And once again it was our neighbor's son who taught them a dangerous game. A couple years ago, they came home and talked about same neighbor trying to start a fire in same ravine. My husband put a stop to that. Thankfully, said neighbor is four years older, and will be out of high school before Jonathan starts.

I'm so sorry illness has, again, made a visit to your household. Her cheeks are pretty red but she looks like an angel.

A zip-line? Oh, you do have your hands full.

Oh gosh! I hope she feels better soon. Is it strep also? I remember my mom and I battled it off and on for a while when I was in 4th grade! Never ate so many fireballs in my life! Got me to drink lots of water though! LOL!

And a zip line?! Oiy!!! Jonathan! Dare devils don't use hangers!

Alexis AKA MOM January 27, 2010 1:13 PM

OMGosh this is something Cole would do. Thank God the plastic hanger broke so you saw what was going on.

She's just gorgeous. So, the third is always a girl, right? RIGHT? (PS Not Pregnant, we're done, just wondering...)

We don't want our boys to play with any of our neighbors. Neer' do wells, all around. Alas.

septembermom January 27, 2010 2:17 PM

Oh, I hope Faith feels better. She look so sweet sleeping there.

A zip line?? That would be a thrill for my boys. It would totally freak me out probably :)

Jen January 27, 2010 3:45 PM

@NancyC, yep the third is always a girl!! @Corrie, hope Faith is better soon and you don't have any more 'pleasant' trips to Dr. I will watch out on twitter anyway:) Jen.

Hope you have some healthiness soon around your parts!

Your neighbor kid sounds AWESOME. You know, to other kids. He sounds like hell on wheels to anyone trying to keep kids out of trouble in your neighborhood!

Kelly January 28, 2010 11:13 AM

Aw porr girl, hope she feels better soon. Mine get those red cheecks too. We have a wonderful neighbor like that, to challenge my son to do such things. Makes life exciting, right? :oP

Petula January 28, 2010 12:46 PM

She's adorable and I am sorry she's not feeling well. Hope she's better now.

I got a little chuckle out of seeing your son doing that. Maybe he could have just lowered the line and still had a little zipping fun! LOL... It's much better than the fire. I'm glad the other kid will be gone when they get to high school. Whew! I think kids can think up their own stuff they don't need other kids adding to the mischief! :)

Mommy Kennedy January 28, 2010 1:00 PM

Chloe's Mommy February 5, 2010 11:29 PM

My brother and I had a zipline in the back yard when we were younger. We did all sorts of other crazy stuff too...our mom is a saint! I'd go absolutely bonkers if my daughter wanted to do half the stupid/dagerous (really fun) things I did when I was a kid!!
